2012 Invitation Programme for Future Business Counterparts

Introduction

The Invitation Programme for Future Business Counterparts from New Zealand (hereinafter abbreviated as FBC.NZ) is an invitation programme, through which young professionals from New Zealand, who will assume greater responsibilities in the coming years and are strongly interested in strengthening economic relations with Japan, would visit and experience Japan, its society, culture, and people.

The aim of this unique programme is to give young professionals from New Zealand experience on business between our two countries by increasing their understanding of Japan through lectures on Japanese society, visits to major Japanese industries, and interaction with Japanese people.

FBC.NZ is formulated to be an integral part of the JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths) Programme. 2012 is the last year of this programme.

The 2012 Invitation Programme for SPECIAL FIELDS COUNTERPARTS from New Zealand (2012-Agriculture) is now in preparation and will be announced soon.

Application Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements and must be eager to pursue a career that fosters Japan-New Zealand relations in the future.
(a) Applicants should be young New Zealand professionals. Undergraduate and post-graduate students with professional work experience can also apply.
(b) Applicants should, in principle, be New Zealand citizens and 35 years of age or below.
(c) Those who have participated in any of similar invitation programmes, including JET programme to Japan are not eligible.

2012 Invitation Programme for SPECIAL FIELDS COUNTERPARTS from New Zealand (2012-Agriculture)

1. Introduction

The Invitation Programme for Special Fields Counterparts from New Zealand (hereinafter abbreviated as SFC.NZ), launched in 2010, is to invite young New Zealand professionals who will assume greater responsibilities in the coming years and who are engaged or interested in strengthening agriculture relations with Japan.

In this programme, participants will be able to become familiar with and experience Japan, its society, culture and people, through lectures, visits to various sites pertaining to the main theme of the programme and interactions with Japanese people.

The aim of this unique programme is to provide young New Zealand professionals in the agricultural field with opportunities to understand the current situation in the agricultural field in Japan. Subsequently, they can contribute to promoting mutual understanding between our two countries utilizing the knowledge and experience of Japanese agriculture gained through this programme.

SFC.NZ is formulated to be an integral part of the JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths) Programme. 2012 is the last year of this programme.

3. Application Eligibility

Applicants must meet all the following requirements and must be eager to pursue a career that fosters Japan-New Zealand agricultural relations in the future.

  1. Applicants should be young New Zealanders who specialize in agriculture.

      -A professional engaged or interested in the agricultural field including processing, distribution and marketing, or

      -Undergraduate and post-graduate students with professional work experience in the above-mentioned sectors.

  2. Applicants should in principle be New Zealand citizens 35 years of age or under
  3. Those who have previously participated in any similar invitation programmes to Japan, including the JET programme are not eligible.
