Movies are screened free of charge at the Japan Information & Cultural Centre on the last Tuesday and Thursday of each month at 6pm. The dates and titles may change due to unforeseen circumstances so please contact us to confirm details.
A short video (Japan Video Topics) will be shown from 5.45pm before the feature film begins at 6pm. Admission is free of charge, bookings are not required.
Doors and elevator access will be available from 5.30pm.

A plan to dump radioactive waste at sea is disrupted when a mysterious atoll appears at the dumping location. That atoll proves to be something altogether different when hideous flying reptiles, the Gyaos, attack a nearby island-and the atoll rises from the sea. It is Gamera! The super turtle combats both a misguided military and the man-eating Gyaos, with help from a courageous naval officer, an intrepid ornithologist and a beautiful young psychic.
This film was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress award from the Japan Academy, and won two awards including Best Director from the Blue Ribbon Awards, and four awards from the Yokohama film festival.
