Hon. Rhonda Tiakia, Member of Niue Legislative Assembly visited Japan at the Invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan

From the 15th to the 19th of February, Hon. Rhonda Tiakia, a member of the Niue Legislative Assembly, visited Japan at the Invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. During her stay in Japan, she visited the Ministry for a courtesy call on Mr. Tomoaki SHIMADA, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs and for briefings by relevant offices. She also visited such institutions as the National Institute for Environmental Studies, Metropolitan Outer Area Underground Discharge Channel, Pacific Islands Centre and JICA to deepen her understanding on Japan’s policies on Niue and the Pacific islands countries as well as on environment, public health and disaster prevention among others..
