JLPT Japanese Language Proficiency Test in Christchurch

The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is designed to meet the needs of Japanese language students who wish to test their skill level against the worldwide criteria. In this way, it is hoped the JLPT will stimulate interest in furthering Japanese studies.        JLPT Guide 

Test date: Sunday 1 December 2024

Venue: Ara Institute of Canterbury, Madras Street, Christchurch
The test will also be conducted in Auckland and Wellington on the same date.

Applications open:

Thursday 1 August to Monday 26 August 2024
Examinees who require special testing accommodations for disabilities must complete their applications by Monday 26 August 2024. 

Fees:

The fees for each level are as follows:
N1: $75.00, N2: $70.00, N3: $65.00, N4: $60.00, N5: $55.00

The test fee is non-refundable and the test date and site cannot be changed. 

*Examinees who wish to have their test result sent overseas must pay an additional NZ$30 to cover overseas courier costs. The postage fee will be asked for when the result is sent.

Applications:

Each examinee can take ONE LEVEL only on the test day.
Any person wishing to enroll for the test should forward a completed application form (two identical photographs are required). Please refer below how to fill in the form.

•     * Monday - Friday 9.00 - 12.15 and 1.30 - 4.30
• B/ By post Consular Office of Japan in Christchurch, PO Box 13748, Christchurch 8140 Attention: JLPT
•     * Please enclose a Self-addressed Size 1 Courier envelope or a small envelope with Kiwistamp attached for the return of your Test Voucher & Timetable. 

Payment: 

Bank Transfer Only - must be completed by 26 August
 * If payment is not received by 26 August your application cannot be accepted.
