The 10th anniversary ceremony of the sister city relationship between Eniwa city in Hokkaido and Timaru
ティマル・恵庭市姉妹都市１０周年記念式典の開催

On 26th February, the 10th anniversary ceremony of the sister city relationship between Eniwa city in Hokkaido and Timaru was held at the Timaru district council. It was attended by the Japanese delegation headed by Eniwa city Mayor Mr. Yutaka Harada and Timaru dignitaries headed by Mayor Mr. Damon Odey. They celebrated a decade of friendly relationship between the two cities and confirmed their commitment to further developing their relations. H.E. Mr. Toshihisa Takata, Ambassador of Japan to New Zealand, congratulated and commended the efforts of all the people concerned, and expressed his expectation for continued strong bonds of relationship between the two cities.

２月２６日（月）、ティマル市役所において、同市と北海道恵庭市との姉妹都市関係締結１０周年記念式典が開催されました。恵庭市からは、原田裕市長を団長とする代表団が来訪し、デイモン・オデイ・ティマル市長以下同市関係者と両市間の友好関係を祝福しました。また来賓として出席した高田稔久・駐ニュージーランド大使は、１０年間に亘る両市関係者の尽力を讃えると共に、今後の更なる発展を期待する旨の祝辞を述べました。
