The Former Japanese programme director at Victoria University of Wellington, Yushi Ito Receives Foreign Minister’s Commendation
ウェリントン・ビクトリア大学元日本語学科長、伊藤雄志氏が外務大臣表彰を受賞

On July 26th, the awarding ceremony for the Foreign Minister’s Commendations was held in Tokyo. Yushi Ito, former Japanese programme director in Victoria University of Wellington, received a Commendation from Foreign Minister Taro Kono for his services in Japanese language teaching. Dr Ito spent over 30 years lecturing for Japanese in Universities of both New Zealand and Australia, until he retired from New Zealand’s Victoria University of Wellington in 2013. His contributions to the development of Japanese language education are highly valued.

７月２６日、東京において外務大臣表彰式が行われ、河野太郎外務大臣からウェリントン・ビクトリア大学元 日本語学科長の伊藤雄志氏に表彰状が授与されました。伊藤氏は、ニュージーランド及びオーストラリアの大学で ３０年以上に亘り日本語講師として教鞭をとり、２０１３年に定年退職するまでニュージーランドにおける日本語教育の発展に多大な貢献を行ったことが高く評価されました。
